ABC Wednesday: "L" is for Lemur


These little guys are Ring-Tailed Lemurs - here at the Jacksonville Zoo, but native to Madagascar in the wild.  If you have seen the animated movie "Madagascar" you will be familiar with Lemurs (though for us it is certainly the penguins in that movie that steal the show - after all, penguins are just awesome!)

Fascinating little creatures. I've never really been sure where they fit in terms of classification, so thanks for the link. Now I know they're primates! :)
