ABC Wednesday: "D" is for Dock

For this ABC Wednesday, "D" is for dock - this one next to the St. Augustine Yacht Club and currently the resting place for at least a dozen pelicans resting from their morning hunting trips.

What a great idea for D. This is my first week joining in and I'm looking forward to seeing all the "D's" people come up with!

I see Pelicans are universal.
Great shot of the dock, over here we call them jetties.
Happy wednesday

What a great sight! I like Pelicans, my mom used to collect figurines of them. Memories. Wonderful "D."

I like your D-ock and the fact that the pelicans stayed put so you could take their picture. I tend to take picutres of flowers as they don't leave before I snap. We have had white pelicans migrate to the Yakima River the last several years. Their original spring and summer home in Oregon was apparently developed or for some other reason no longer provided habitat. I love catching a glimpse of them during my commute.

Do the pelicans pay a fee for resting there?

Beautiful dock. Anything to do with water is beautiful. I want to visit there. Only been to Tybee Island close to Savannah on that side. We usually go to Gulf Shores, AL. or Panama City Beach, FL.
