Bings Landing: Part 3

One fun experience while enjoying the sunset at Bings Landing was the passing of a fairly large sailboat.  If only it were under sail... (wouldn't have been possible, moving north in the narrow Intracoastal Waterway against a north wind with no room to tack...)

Sailboat on the River

The above was taken at the rear of the Jacksonville Zoo, which abuts to the Trout River, a tributary of the much larger St. Johns River (which drains much of eastern and northern Florida). There is a dock back here where you could actually tie off you boat and then visit the zoo should you wish.
