A view of the coastal marshes found on Ft. George Island near Jacksonville, FL. No clouds, but there is a nice seagull flying in the top left corner. The small image doesn't really do it justice - click on it to see the larger size. There is just something uniquely beautiful about marshes like these that I love, even though they are mostly drab and lack vibrant colors. Perhaps it is that they allow me to see with my own eyes a sight that a native 5,000 years ago could have seen, almost taking me back in time...

Wow, it does look rather prehistoric, doesn't it!? Great shot!
It does it more justice to click and enlarge. Very beautiful.
That's a wonderful landscape. Seagulls don't like to miss photo ops!
This makes me think of the Marshes of Glen. The gull really adds to the picture.
You stunned me for a minute on the comment you left but I finally caught on. Very funny!
What a great composition! The leading lines are a great technique when used subtley here.

Theres is plenty of beauty in this view, and if I could walk this area I'm sure the sights sound and smells would beguile me and keep me there wanting more.
Thank you for joining in with the fun of Skywatch.

I like the way you framed yhe photo. Empty and lots of space on the left, where one can see a bird flying, on pretty full on the right with trees and grass ... and a good contrast between green and blue.
Great shot:o)
The bird you captured in the picture adds a special effect to this shot.
What a great composition!
Beautiful place, beautiful picture.
Alan: Great shot of the marsh. That bird looks too big for a Seagull. Maybe it's a Frigate Bird or something of that sort.
Very nice!
Romantic landscape!
Sky and woods like a picture!

Marshes are my favorite spots: they are so full of life. You are very fortunate to be near one. http://meeyauw-pad.blogspot.com/2008/04/sky-watch-friday-mt-mansfield.html
Really lovely photo. It does look untouched!
